Surgery Schedule
Surgery schedules provide an additional source of casefinding. The accuracy of this source depends on appropriate documentation of orders and diagnoses at the time of surgery. This schedule should be reviewed daily or weekly. Any surgeries or diagnoses that indicate possible cancer cases should be reviewed for possible inclusion in the registry. The purpose of this type of review is to identify all cases that are reportable according to the registry reportable list.
