Genomic Testing

Gene profile testing, which is done by microarray assay or reverse transcription-polymerase chain, is done to help with treatment decisions and is part of precision medicine.

There is no standard genomic testing at this time for bladder. There is a controversial testing for the DPYD gene and its effects on the dosing of some of the chemotherapeutic agents.
