Cancer Registry Management: Unit Review
and Quiz
|
Unit Review
Here is what we have learned from this unit:
- Cancer registry supervisors, with different educational
backgrounds and management styles, are directly responsible
for overseeing daily cancer registry operations.
- The Standards of the Commission on Cancer, Vol. I: Cancer
Program Standards and Vol. II: Registry Operations and Data
Standards (ROADS), provide a basis for objective development
by outlining all requirements that must be met to attain
approval.
- Cancer registry position descriptions should be specific
enough to outline all job responsibilities, yet flexible
enough to allow for staff and cancer program growth.
- Planning is required to ensure that registry staffing
meets the requirements of the Commission on Cancer (CoC)
of the American College of Surgeons.
- Productivity standards should clearly define departmental
and individual staff expectations, as well as performance
and evaluation methods.
- Every registry within a CoC-approved cancer program must
develop and maintain a policy and procedure manual that
documents each phase of cancer registry operations.
Quiz
It's time to see how much you have learned from this unit.
A true-false quiz has been created to give you an opportunity
to reinforce what you have learned.
Since the quiz is created as an incentive for learning, rather
than an objective evaluation of learning results, the score
of the quiz will not be recorded. Instead, feedback to your
answer is provided instantaneously.
These quiz questions are grouped into several sets of two
questions each to reduce the size of the content on each page.
When you finish the questions in one set, click the Next button
(a right-pointing arrow icon located in the Title Bar) to
proceed to the next page.
