This is the first admission for this 55-year-old white male. He appears in general good health. For the past two weeks he has experienced dysphagia an occasional hemoptysis. Four days ago, he had a severe asthmatic attack relieved only after receiving adrenalin. X-rays show a carcinoma of the bronchus.
